It started when we recognised that, for some businesses, threats don’t come only from competitors. They can come from the natural world. Pest birds wreck crops, disrupt travel, destroy infrastructure. In 2024 alone, global losses caused by pest birds were estimated at NZ$6.39 billion.

Technology has transformed many industries, so why not wildlife control too? In particular, those pesky pest birds. We started in 2012 by pulling apart existing products. We studied what worked and what didn’t, and got down to creating smarter, stronger, more effective, humane solutions.

In 2012 we released our first automated laser bird deterrent solution - the BirdChase laser with rotator system for indoor bird control

Bird Eraser
brought the first Birdzout BirdEraser laser gun, perfected for portable bird control in airports and crops
